My Trip
Frequently asked questions about Phuket
What should I wear?
It has not been ‘demanded’ of tourists, but people have been asked to wear black or dark coloured clothes during the mourning period, but white or grey is acceptable. If you do not have such colours available, a black ribbon is enough.

Can I wear a bikini on the beach?
The beaches are still open and wearing swimwear on them is still permitted.

What is closed and what is not?
Airports, hotels, shopping malls and cultural attractions remain open. Only some nightlife venues and leisure attractions may close for a short period of time, while others will remain open. If you have a specific venue in mind it's always best to check ahead.

How long will places be closed?
The bars and nightlife venues are expected to remain closed until Thursday 20 October 2016, though some may not open again until Saturday 12 November 2016
