  • Phuket Boat Lagoon

Stylish & Modern Marina near Phuket Town

The Boat Lagoon Phuket is located in Koh Kaew on the northern outskirts of Phuket Town. Fully operational since 1994, it was Phuket Island's first marina complex. The marina is surrounded by a group of condominiums, the Boat Lagoon Resort, serviced apartments, restaurants, shops and offices.

This circular 180-berth lagoon was originally a tidal flat at the head of a shallow, meandering two-mile creek named Klong Tha Rua. The marina is professionally run and features a wide range of services for maintenance and repairing boats up to 80 tons, from dry stacking to travel lift to fork lift, yachties can find all the assistance required to take care of their boats at Phuket Boat Lagoon.

  • The Boat Lagoon Marina features a wide variety of dining options, ranging from a quick lunch or an afternoon treat to a family dinner and an ‘end-of-the-week’ party. If you prefer something a little more sophisticated along a marina boardwalk, this is the place to be.

Whether you like Thai, Italian, French, Indian or fresh bread and pastries, you won’t be disappointed here. Among their popular restaurants and bars are La Taverna, The Bakery, Le WinchSenzanome, Spice Island, and four outlets at Boat Lagoon Resort – Harbour Restaurant, Port of Call Beer Terrace, The Lobby Lounge, and Poolside Bar.

Services at the Phuket Boat Lagoon are comparable with marina services elsewhere in the world: a fuel dock, three service cranes lifting up to 80 tons, a large concrete work area and hard standing for up to 144 vessels, dry stack storage for 20 speedboats, 180 wet berths with power and water, a concrete boat ramp, Wi-Fi, swimming pool, hot showers and changing room facilities along with many yacht service companies with on-site management. Other facilities within walking distance are a bank, laundry and a fitness centre. All vessel services are quoted on a per-foot basis.

Phuket Boat Lagoon is also an important port of embarkation for island-hopping day trips. After almost two decades of developing and running a marina in Thailand, the folks at Phuket Boat Lagoon recently opened a sister marina in Baan Klong Sai, Krabi called Krabi Boat Lagoon (Tel: +66 (0)87 887 9214). Check them out if you are in the area.

On the last weekend of each month (from 16:30 – 22:00) the Phuket Boat Lagoon holds the Lighthouse Market. It is a stylish fair settled right on the marina’s boardwalk, at which you could find a good range of quality products such as precious and semi-precious stones, wines, souvenirs, and a vast choice of snacks and food to eat on the spot.

The dazzling red/orange-coloured building on the left-hand side when first entering the marina is the DC One Med Spa Phuket. It’s a unique health setup featuring Face2Face, a skin and aesthetic centre and a fully equipped DC One Dental Clinic. These two high-end clinics are open six days a week from 10:00 – 19:00, closed on Sundays. Also located inside DC One Med Spa Phuket is Fillings Café, operated by Paresa Resort. It offers a selection of cakes, wraps, salads, smoothies, fresh juices and more in a café atmosphere from 09:00 – 18:00, also closed on Sundays.
