Tassanee Seafood
A well-known family run Thai restaurant, Tassanee has been serving customers in Chalong Bay for more than three decades. Its stunning location with great views of the bay helps to balance the lack of décor inside the restaurant and again, its simple but clean setup helps keep prices down. Fresh ingredients make Tassanee’s dishes stand out, especially geng som (spicy yellow seafood curry) and nam prik goong seab (shrimp chilly dip). These two are locals’ favourites.
For visitors who don’t fancy too spicy food, there is pla sam rod (sweet and sour fish) on the menu, tom kha seafood (seafood in coconut milk soup) and tod man goong (deep-fried shrimp cake). Many seafood items here are a lot cheaper than those sold in other beachfront venues such as Patong and there’s plenty of free parking space at the pier’s public car park. Talk about convenience!

Palai Seafood

As a result there are many seafood restaurants on the island yet only a few can boast a great view in an easy-to-find location. But Palai Seafood can. Read More...
