Federation of British International Secondary Schools in South East Asia

The Federation of British International Schools of South East Asia (FOBISSEA) is an association that was founded with the aim of providing a forum for professional dialogue between the Headmasters and staff of British schools in the region. It creates opportunities for international students to participate in activities of a sporting, cultural and academic nature. The FOBISSEA Games are organized each year by the federation in various countries of South East Asia and are very popular events amongst pupils, parents and teachers alike. There are 18 member schools in South East Asia and associate members in Nepal, China and Japan.

On Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th March, 2000, at Dulwich International College Phuket, more than 1000 motivated teenagers will demonstrate their high level of sporting skills and team spirit in an intensive competition of Athletics, Swimming, Basketball, Soccer and Netball.

This event is the cornerstone of a new development for Phuket in its drive to become a centre of international sporting competitions in South East Asia. The strategic location, modern international airport, well-developed infrastructure and increasingly attractive sports facilities are all contributing to this emerging status of Phuket. The FOBISSEA Games 2000 at Dulwich International College in March 2000 will enhance this development through international exposure and the participation of the leading athletes of the new millennium.
