Nuad Bo-Rarn, or Ancient Thai Massage is a unique form
of body therapy dating back to the time of the Buddha, and brought
to Thailand and practised by the Buddhist monks of the time. In
the north of Thailand, many temples still practice this therapy
to treat the sick, in preference to Western medicine and drugs.
Many other therapies have been extracted from this Ayurverdic
whole, such as Reflexology, Swedish massage and Aromatherapy, and
Shiatzu. Reason and results would suggest that the whole must
be greater than its separate components.

COURSES
At Kata Institute of Thai Massage, we teach Traditional Northern
Thai Medicinal Massage, to students from all over the world.
Some are already practitioners in another field of physical
therapy, while others are beginners taking their first step
into the world of natural healing. Small numbers, and committed
staff ensure that all students, whatever their level gain proficiency
in their chosen courses in the shortest possible time. Courses
range from a half day "introduction to Thai Massage", to a full
professional training programme. Levels 1 to 4 cover all aspects
of the massage in all positions, while 5 and 6 go on to advanced
theory and specific therapeutic applications. Each level is
a 15 hour tuition block, which may be completed in half or full
days to allow for other holiday commitments.
