Nai Harn Beach has pretty much stayed the same for many years and has avoided over development due to the fact that there is a Buddhist temple in its direct hinterland. There are relatively few resorts in this southwestern part of the island as it is predominantly a residential area - an attraction in itself - and if you are a surfer it is worth trying out the south end of the beach when the tide is in.
