Naturally beautiful Surin is known as 'Millionaires Row' due the
the top-end celebrity haunts Amanpuri, Twinpalms and The
Chedi amongst the luxury resorts there, as well as the many
US$ 1 million+ houses that sit proudly on top of the hills overlooking
the Andaman Sea.
Although popular with tourists it's not a busy resort town, more
like a coastal village. Fine white sand and turquoise water has
ensured that the picturesque beach is very popular with tourists
and Thais alike. The whole area is awash with high end hotels and housing which
in turn has created opportunities for high end restaurants and wine
bars.
There's a wealth of top end accommodation along this beautiful stretch
of coastline but not many midrange options available. Surin doesn't really have any large scale resorts with boutique resorts
being the norm. Alternatively, see the complete list of Surin

and visitors alike to snack on barbecued seafood, enjoy a cool drink
and escape the heat of the day. Such a picturesque beach, it's not surprising it's many people's
favourite beach in Phuket. Unlike the other busy beaches of Phuket, there's a refreshing
absence of jet-skis and speed boats here since Surin lacks a launch
area. (Read more...)
Most of Surin's dining options are focused into two areas, the

Beach Resort are on).Seafood features highly on the menus of the the beachfront restaurants,
with Thai food also making up a significant part. The restaurants
on Soi 8 have more international dishes than Thai flavours. (Read more...)
The nightlife in Surin is pretty low key, beachside bars and restaurants
is what it's all about. Dining is turned into more of an event than
necessity. Eating and drinking at places like Silk, Catch and Envision is a sophisticated affair, alternatively
Beach bars offer a more relaxed atmosphere with good company. (Read more...)
