    Patong Beach houses such a wide range of hotels and resorts that it may be difficult for some visitors to make a choice. For most people, Patong hardly needs introducing. With its seaside fun, a large choice of restaurants and a barely-controlled nightlife scene whose reputation precedes it, the main tourist centre of the island has long attracted millions of international visitors.

    Still, once away from the brash, carnival-like atmosphere of Central Patong, visitors can enjoy a tranquil stay at several quiet resorts in and around the town, some catering to top-end guests. The sheer variety of accommodation available in this beach town makes it a place that truly does cater to all, and here is an editor’s selection of recommendable hotels and resorts in Patong Beach.

  • Patong Beach Road

    The beach road is a prime location for hotels with many rooms on the beach road having wonderful sea views. Location wise the central part is in the heart of the action with the northern and southern ends being a little quieter. All the hotels have been renovated recently, whilst the excellent location is reflected in the prices. There's lots of pedestrian traffic in the evenings with people strolling and browsing the many shops that have their wares on display. The many alfresco bars and restaurants on the beach road which gives it a good atmosphere at night-time that's great for families. 

    They say you can’t please all the people all the time but it seems that Patong’s Holiday Inn has a good go at it. With two distinct wings, four restaurants and an array of activities for adults and kids alike Holiday Inn gets it right in so many ways.     Patong’s ‘East End’, Naina Road snakes roughly parallel to Rat-U-Thit Road along the base of Patong Hill. This area is relatively quiet and a distance from the bright lights and thumping beats of Bangla Road.

    Sai Kor Road

    Sai Kor Road is a still-developing area in Patong. It is located behind the Millennium Hotel and Jungceylon and has yet to be properly paved. The Banzan fresh market lies along this road along with a boxing stadium and quite a few bars. 

    A resort located just minutes from Jungceylon and the surrounding shopping, bars and of course infamous Bangla Road, Andakira is in modern Thai design and features 107 Guestrooms and Suites.     This is a connecting street between Rat-U-Thit Road and Beach Road situated to the southern end of Patong.

    Located at the western end of Soi Kepsup and therefore just steps away from the beach, Horizon Beach Resort opens out to the many street stalls and vendors of Soi Kepsup and the Beach Road. The resort has two wings housing four different types of accommodation: Superior Room, Deluxe Room, Family Room and Junior Suite.
