Nai Thon is both very quiet and stunningly beautiful. This one
road town is undiscovered by the masses so you'll have all the space
you need to relax. There's a 'hidden' part of Nai Thon Beach, it's
very easy to get to whatever the tide, you just walk around the
rocks at the southern end.
Nai Thon Beach isn't to be confused with Nai Thorn Beach which
is 600m further south and only accessible via the grounds of Andaman
White Beach Resort or by longtail boat.
One of the features that makes Nai Thon so loved is the water quality,
most of the year there's 15m+ visibility with totally flat water,
perfect for snorkeling.
From May to September there can be rougher conditions including
waves and strong undertows so care should be taken whilst swimming,
on rough days the red warning flags will be flying.

At the fork, turn left for Nai Thon.

Beach Eats
There are several restaurants adjacent to the beach, that are open

Prices are very reasonable but you might find that some menu items
aren't available as low turnover means that the restaurants don't
have large stocks of ingredients.

in the sand.
Watersports in Nai Thon Beach
There isn't really motorised water sports on Nai Thon Beach except
maybe in high season when you might be able to rent a jetski.
The rocks at the north and south ends of the beach offer some good
snorkeling, the south end is a little better. The water quality
is excellent with visibility regularly 15m+ for most of the year.
You're likely to see many colourful fish including parrot fish,
trigger fish, many types small wrasse and banner fish. Be careful
not to touch the corals or sea urchins.
Surfing: Can get choppy, and
care must be taken of the rocks. Details: Winds northwest
to southeast. Swell up to three metres. (Read
more about surfing)
Beach Activities
Not in Nai Thon, just pure relaxation.
You can rent a longtail boat to explore the rocky coves close by
that harbour some excellent snorkeling opportunities.
Scuba diving can be arranged at the dive shop on the beach road.
Beach Vendors
In high season beach vendors flock to Nai Thorn Beach to take advantage
of the opportunities there at this time of year. They're not seen
here for the rest of the year.
Don't forget to smile! You'll immediately lower the original asking
price by being friendly. Never accept the starting price and bargain
with the vendor. If you don't want to buy anything from the start
then simply smile and shake your head. However, if you stop a vendor
to view his goods you are under no obligation to purchase anything.
