Open in late 2007, The Briza with its seaside
location, certainly lives up to its breezy name.
The 79-room resort is intimate enough to be
a family hideaway yet is open-spaced and can
embrace a real holiday-by-the-sea experience.
There is a distinct Sino-Portuguese feel running
through the resort design, nowhere more so than
in and around the lobby area with its lacquered
wood bar and Chinese décor.

Lak beach |

The Briza is situated in Phang Nga Province, some
50 minutes north of Phuket International Airport.
The popular resort town Khao Lak lies a five minute
drive north and resort guests are within walking distance
of Khao Lak Lam Lu National Park.
Many other day tours are available including
James Bond Island and the many beautiful waterfalls
this area offers. The Brizas beachside location
means that guests can maximize by choosing from one
of the four Grand Deluxe Beachfront rooms.

Restaurants and bars
 |
| Panalai
Restaurant |
|
Panalai, the main restaurant, serves all-day food
with a breakfast buffet and a la carte dinners. The
atmosphere here is light hearted with piped in pop
music and of course, that fresh sea breeze.
There is also a pool terrace restaurant serving
a la carte light food and sandwiches and this location
is attractive for sundowners and early evening cocktails.
As mentioned, the lobby area features Chomtara, an
Oriental drinks area that is distinctive in feel and
design.

Facilities
 |
| Swimming
pool |
|
The swimming pool area is central to The Brizas
layout as all garden and deluxe rooms face onto it.
The pool is child-safe with cordoned-off shallow areas
and is never deeper than 1.20m. Snorkeling and kayaking/canoeing
is available on the beach and a fitness room stands
just off the main building, as does a small boutique.
Thai culinary classes can be booked as well as fruit
and vegetable carving classes. Several world-class
golf courses are within an hours drive away
on the mainland and on Phuket. All rooms feature wireless
broadband and there are complimentary internet-connected
computers in the lobby.
Throughout the grounds there is extensive landscaped
gardening and the simple, clear-cut design lends the
entire resort a fresh feel while direct access to
the attractive beach is a definite plus point. There
is a forested headland on the beach some 300 metres
to the north (the beginning of the National Park)
and the southern view is of an untouched strand with
fishermen tending to their nets and crafts.

Attractive and appealingly designed, The Briza achieves
its simple objective in that it supplies good quality
accommodation in an ideal location for a seaside break.
With the town of Khao Lak (La On Village) just a
few minutes drive away one does not feel too
isolated and The Briza does have a few satellite businesses
close by. Never too crowded and big enough to absorb
large families in style, The Briza is a good deal
for couples and families.
