Tropical Wonderland Weddings at JW Marriott Phuket Resort &
Spa
JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa, the first JW Marriott resort
in Asia, is a perfect destination for weddings and honeymoons -
or both!
The
Venue
Set in 11 hectares of exquisite tropical gardens, it has 17 kms
of natural, undeveloped beachfront, adjacent to the Sirinath Marine
National Park and sea turtle nesting area. Accommodations are spacious
and elegant with a minimum of 47 square meters (508 square feet)
of luxurious living space, featuring Thai design and interior accents
reflecting the ambiance of the destination. Its 265 rooms, including
13 suites, all face towards the Andaman Sea.
The resort is just 15 minutes north of Phuket International
Airport, enabling guests to be poolside with an exotic cocktail
in hand, or straight to the spa for pampering, within 30 minutes
of touchdown. Facilities include seven restaurants and bars, two
magnificent swimming pools, a Mandara Spa, shopping arcade, championship
pitch and putt golfing green and a fitness center.
The Mandara Spa complex covers 1,119 square meter (12,300
square feet) and includes ten private double treatment suites and
a full service beauty salon. The spa interior focuses on the exotic
beauty of Thai traditional architecture and artifacts subtly blending
with the classic elegance of contemporary design, evoking a feeling
of "spiritual tranquility and harmony" with nature.
A wide range of traditional and international health and beauty
treatments are available, featuring high quality imported products
as well as natural products grown in Thailand. Rich coffee scrubs,
aromatic facials, soothing oils and the gentle, healing touch of
gracious Thai masseurs make treatments a truly sensational experience,
restoring the senses to a state of peace and balance.
Wedding Ceremonies
Weddings can be arranged for a special ceremony for two, up to a
full scale event for up to 400 people in either an indoor or outdoor
setting as preferred.
In addition to the Christian style wedding, the resort specializes
in cultural Thai ceremonies, offering a traditional Thai Buddhist
ceremony that is performed in the central part of the country, or
a southern Phuket style wedding in keeping with the resort's magnificent
location.
Many special touches are incorporated into the wedding packages
including a room upgrade to deluxe terrace category (subject to
availability), heart shaped ice carvings, a blessing by Thai monks
(for the Buddhist ceremonies), a master of ceremonies, corsages
for the bridge and groom, ambient Thai background music and special
floral highlights in the guest room at turndown on the wedding night.
Additional options include traditional dress and costume for the
wedding couple, photography and/or video service, make up and hair
