Phuket King's Cup Regatta 
Phuket's famous international yachting event, The King's Cup Regatta,
returns to the azure waters of the Andaman Ocean in December for
a week of partying, sailing, beautiful people and great fun. This
year marks not only the event's 20th year of prominence on the Asian
yacht racing calendar, but also coincides with the auspicious Diamond
Jubilee celebrations of Thailand's beloved King Bhumibol Adulyadej,

Shopping and fun on the cards at Jungceylon! 
After a two-year delay, Phuket's first mega-mall and entertainment
complex, the 3,5 billion baht (about US$ 9,2 million) Jungceylon
in the thriving Patong area, is finally set to open on December
1, and promises to be a shining star on the island's places-to-visit
list. Some 45,000 visitors - locals, expats and tourists - are expected

Loi Krathong - When magic floats 
This is Loi Krathong, Thailand's 'festival of lights'. Held yearly,
on the evening of the twelfth lunar month, it is the time of year
when the waters around the country become alive with candlelight
and look not unlike massive fairy ballrooms. When staying in a coastal
area, you can see these 'ballrooms' extending for miles out to sea.
In fact, sailors, making their way towards the likes of Phuket,
have reported seeing them close to the Similan Islands and beyond.

Koh Yao Island : Getting away from it all
