  • Brasserie Yacht Club Ao Yon

    European Dining in Phuket

Brasserie Yacht Club Ao Yon is the sister-branch of Brasserie Phuket, one of the most highly-regarded restaurants in Phuket Town. This venue offers its guests a definitively cool and unpretentious beachfront outlet to sample a great choice of delicious Belgian and French specialities.

Set right on Ao Yon, a small beach located near Cape Panwa on the eastern side of Chalong Bay, Brasserie Yacht Club Ao Yon has all the qualities required to become one of the favourite eateries in Phuket: excellent food and beverages (including a good choice of Belgian beers in the drinks list), top-notch location off the beaten track, professional management and service, and fair rates.

  • Brasserie Yacht Club Ao Yon has been very well thought out regarding its layout and décor. With its white walls, rustic wooden furnishing, white bamboo ceiling, 19th century-style floor tiles, turquoise cushions, and colour-changing LED spots, the whole place has a charming vintage look mixed with a trendy twist. The climax of the venue is its view of Ao Yon Bay, which punters can enjoy from the open-sided main dining room.

The seaside feeling makes the atmosphere of the venue pretty relaxing; the sound of the waves lapping the beach is only perturbed by the excellent sound system diffusing tunes from the ‘90s at an unobtrusive volume. Brasserie Yacht Club Ao Yon is also the perfect venue to hold private parties (anniversary, wedding, etc.).

Regarding food, Brasserie Yacht Club Ao Yon serves all the dishes that made its Phuket Town sister-branch so appreciated by locals and foreign visitors alike, to which it added a selection of popular beachside snacks. You can sample dishes such as bouillabaisse (fish soup with five different fishes from France at 380 baht), homemade salmon terrine (290 baht) and vol-au-vent (chicken cooked in a vegetable stock with cream and mushroom served in a salty pasty with Belgian fries and homemade mayo – 450 baht), just to name a few. Most of the ingredients – seafood, meat, and even chips – are imported.

Summing up, Brasserie Yacht Club Ao Yon is the perfect venue for those who want to indulge themselves with gastronomic Belgian cuisine at a superb seaside location. We’re not talking about Knokke-Le-Zoute (famous Belgian resort town on the North Sea) here, but the beautiful Ao Yon in Phuket!
