Charm Thai Restaurant at Holiday Inn Phuket
Thai Restaurant in Patong Beach0
Charm Thai is the signature restaurant of Holiday Inn Resort Phuket in Patong Beach. This stylish venue is designed with some delicate contemporary Thai touches and set right next to the impressive swimming pool of the resort’s Busakorn Wing on Rat-U-Thit Road, the busy central strip of Phuket’s most famous resort town.
As for the food, Charm Thai serves authentic refined Thai fare exalting all the flavours of this world-famous cuisine; as most foreigners are not used to the high degree of spiciness of Thai food the way it is normally prepared for locals, Charm Thai’s waiters ask diners how spicy they would like their dish to be served - charming attention indeed.

Charm Thai is a large open-sided restaurant that can host up to 130 guests in its three different sections: the main dining room, a semi-private area, and a few tables on the outdoor terrace overlooking the swimming pool and the pool bar. The décor and furnishings of the restaurant are made of dark wood, and its structure and design is typically Thai, with a beautiful traditional ceiling.
Although Charm Thai has a certain class to its décor, the atmosphere remains casual (there is no dress code). Traditional Thai music and soft jazz makes for an agreeable background without being too intrusive. Large fans refresh the air of the main dining room, while the semi-private room located at the back of the restaurant is air conditioned.
Charm Thai’s menu is 99% Thai (they do a small international selection of salads, burgers and steaks) and offers visitors the chance to discover a quality and well-rounded selection of The Kingdom’s favourite classic dishes. Six regional Thai specialties are especially recommended by Chef Pittaya Malee: gai nueng sie euw (steamed chicken with soy sauce and spicy dip at 210 baht); spaghetti kiew wan gai (spaghetti with chicken and Thai green curry at 375 baht); krapok pla phad med (stir-fried fish with cashew nuts at 360 baht); goong yang sa-mun-pri (grilled white prawn with spicy Thai herb sauce at 330 baht); kao soy gai (northern-Thai curried noodles with chicken at 210 baht); and goong ob woonsen (prawns with glass noodle cooked in earthen ware pot at 270 baht).
Besides the à la carte menu, four set menus for two are available; they feature five courses, and their prices range from 699 to 1,099 baht. They are highly recommendable if you are not familiar with Thai cuisine as each of them introduces the most famous dishes in the country. A children’s menu with Thai & international kid’s favourites is also available; please note that children below 12 years old eat free when accompanied by their parents (maximum two children per family).
