Leonardo Da Vinci Restaurant is a chic and elegant place to enjoy exceptional high-quality Italian cuisine. Having undergone a recent renovation, the menu now has a heavy focus on fresh seafood, skilfully prepared by experienced Chef Enzo, from the Italian coastal city of Rimini.
The restaurant has a contemporary look, with both indoor and outdoor dining spaces using warm colours and stylish design to recreate the sophistication of Italy near to Kata Noi Beach. The service staff are also diligent and friendly and are as knowledgeable and passionate about the food as the chef, creating an in-depth dining experience.

The food at Leonardo Da Vinci Restaurant Phuket is certainly worth taking seriously. We started off with the Gratinato Misto Di Pesce (mixed shellfish baked with flavoured breads – 350 baht). While the flavoursome mussels, scallops and razor fish were excellent, it was not a patch on the bufala mozzarella cheese rolled in Parma ham, served with rocket salad and balsamic cream (430 baht). The high-quality imported ingredients and the combination of different flavours and textures make it a true delight.
Where possible, Chef Enzo uses fresh local produce, particularly in the case of the seafood, which is bought each day from Rawai Market. The pasta in the Spaghetti Alla Vongole (with clams in a white wine sauce – 270 baht) is very high quality and was perfectly prepared for us; just slightly al dente to give it a bit of bite. Naturally, the pasta for the lasagne, ravioli and tagliatelle is all homemade.
The pizzas are (naturally) also freshly homemade, with 10 choices of topping available to add to a traditional thin and crispy base. We tried the signature Leonardo Da Vinci Restaurant pizza with Bufala Mozzarella, cherry tomato confit, Parma ham and rocket salad (380 baht). Piled with so many fine ingredients, it is naturally impossible to eat with your fingers without most of the topping falling back onto your plate. However, the recreation of that fantastic starter, but with the extra crunch of the pizza base, makes it a great choice.
Chef Enzo’s personal favourite dish is the red rock fish fillet with a cherry tomato sauce, cappers, anchovies and basil leaves (520 baht). He often comes out of the kitchen to speak to diners, but was particularly keen to hear our opinion on this. We were very happy to inform that it is excellent – the tender poached fish flavour offset nicely by the slightly sweet sauce. It was complemented by one of the three house white wines (starting from 290 baht per glass), with a choice of three red, one rose and one prosecco house pour also available, all of them good-quality.
Being on the quiet road between Kata and Kata Noi Beach, Leonardo Da Vinci Restaurant is a little bit out of the way. However, the attention to detail throughout the dining experience makes it well work the couple of minutes’ drive from Kata and there is ample parking space available just around the corner from the main entrance, through the gate for the Kata Gardens condominium and apartments complex.
