Eleven Two & Co. in Phuket

Chic Dining in Phuket Town

Eleven Two & Co. is a unique fusion café and restaurant on Thalang Road in the heart of the charming Phuket Old Town. It embraces the quirky, boutique nature of the street with its chic style and décor while offering up very high quality Asian and western dishes, making it one of the most popular dining spots in the area.

Surrounded by the more historical part Phuket – itself quite a quirky place – Eleven Two & Co. manages to stand out as a hip and trendy island in a sea of tradition. It defies convention in most regards, from its bare-walled décor, funky souvenirs stall and eclectic furnishings to its short menu which combines disparate flavours.

The menu includes such delights as spaghetti sai krok Isan (spaghetti with Isan-style Thai sausage) for 215 baht, Caesar salad with crispy belly pork for 215 baht and chicken teriyaki burger for 180 baht. The drinks selection has an equally impressive range of unusual concoctions, including a choice of healthy smoothies for 110 baht each. Detoxify with red grapes, pineapple, cucumber, lime and ginger or reverse the aging process with parsley, carrots, apple and celery – all served in jam jars for the extra hip factor.

Eleven Two & Co. happens to be a favourite among the writers at Phuket.com, where we routinely pick the Club sandwich (195 baht). Cut into quarters, with a pile of the fantastic garlic and herb French fries in the middle, the toasted sandwich features high-quality ingredients, including fresh lettuce and tomato and thick lumps of chicken breasts. It is both filling and extremely tasty.

There are what you might call more ‘normal’ options on the menu, too. Aside from the Club sandwiches, you will find a small choice of Thai dishes such as rice with Thai omelette (50 baht) and Pad Thai with prawns (95 baht) as well as western classics like pizzas (200 – 300 baht) and pasta dishes (155 – 245 baht). The drinks menu includes wines, coffees, teas and beers, including a range of craft beers.

Uniquely, Eleven Two & Co. is also home to a small souvenir shop – Twin Ha Phuket – selling postcards, purses, soaps and other knickknacks, some of them made by the owner, June. There’s even a post box so you can send your postcards home right away. You can also browse and book tours from the counter just by the entrance.

Providing a refreshing lunch for hungry writers, Eleven Two & Co. is a great place to take a break from exploring one of the most interesting parts of Phuket Old Town. They’re big on social media, too, so be sure to snap a picture of your meal for Instagram before you tuck in!
