King Kong Party Club Phuket

Waterpark and Pool Party in Kathu

King Kong Party Club is permanently closed

King Kong Party Club is a fun waterpark by day and a funky pool party venue by night. It also has a small three-star hotel, a restaurant and a shop attached, all continuing the distinctive gorilla theme. Opened in early 2015, its excellent range of facilities and its convenient location close to Kathu Village has already made it a hit with locals and expatriates.

The centrepiece of the club is the large swimming pool, which includes channels circumnavigating the whole edifice, a whirlpool, a waterfall and semi-submerged tables and chairs, so you don’t even have to leave the water to eat and drink. There is also a 15-metre-high slide, which promises to help those brave enough to throw themselves down it fly! All areas of King Kong Party Club – particularly the top of the slide – are under constant supervision in order to maintain safety and security. There is also a wide selection of floatation aids available for free.

Drinks are available from the centrally-located bar, with prices starting at 55 baht for soft drinks, 120 baht for a beer and 190 baht for spirits. There is also an impressive selection of cocktails, including Mai Tais, Harvey Wallbangers and Daiquiris (strawberry, melon or mango flavour), all for 220 baht. All of these can be enjoyed in the sunbeds, comfortable cabanas or the large central shaded area with tables and chairs.

Other daytime activities to enjoy between 10:00 – 18:00 include free access to the sauna and steam room, giant bubbles (which is kind of like a blend between five-a-side football and zorbing), having a massage or dining from the Thai and international menu, with all items priced at under 200 baht.

After 18:00, the King Kong Party Club becomes a lively nightlife venue. Particularly popular with Thai party animals, the pool remains the centrepiece of the club, so be sure to bring your swimming costume! If you forgot it, the shop at the front of the complex stocks a good selection of trendy beach fashion. Throughout the day and night, the music is popular dance and rave-style tunes and the foam machine is put to regular good use.

King Kong Party Club Phuket is impossible to miss on the southern side of the road between the Kathu Village Intersection and the Caltex Intersection. The front the building and the road-side sign have a rock-like façade with large gorilla statues. Entry to the club uses a clear two-tier pricing system, with Thais paying 199 baht for children and 299 baht for adults while foreign guests pay 450 baht for children and 899 baht for adults. Please note that children are not allowed into the club after 18:00, when the night service starts.
