The Mangosteen Resort & Spa
Phuket Real Estate Guide0
The Mangosteen Resort success story began in 2003, when the newly constructed resort opened its doors to the public. The family owned and managed resort features just 42 beautifully designed Jacuzzi Villas, situated on a hillside in Rawai with stunning views towards Phi Phi Island. The unique location was an immediate hit! Many travelers realized that not to be directly on the beach isn't a disadvantage and enjoyed the fresh winds from the East and the breathtaking views.Read More

The resort quickly gained recognition due to the outstanding service quality and one of the first certified spas on the Island. On the 27th of September, it received the official 5-star rating, the first in Thailand for a privately managed resort, by the Foundation for Standards and Human Resources Development in the Service and Tourism Industry (Hotel Standards).
Now, the owners Kewalee and Hajo von Keller are planning Phase 2, The Mangosteen Suites Estate and very soon, Phase 3, The Mangosteen Pool Villas. Both projects allow investors to become part of the success story by buying into the property.
The Suites Estate is ready for construction and currently selling the last 2 Suites of-plan, with a 20% discounted introduction price. “Buyers are realizing that they are getting a unique deal on the Island. Once the construction has started, they already made a 20% profit, when it will be completed, there is usually another 20% increase”, Hajo von Keller says. He strongly believes that his Suites are an absolutely brilliant lifestyle product, designed by one of Asias most celebrated young architects, Gary Fell an English fellow who is living and working in Bali. It is ideal for families and especially Asian families are traveling during the “Green Season” to Phuket.“
This will guarantee high return on investment and low risk for our buyers! Obviously, we cannot count on families only, so we designed the two bedroom Suites with separare entrances, so they can be splitted into 2 units.” The management concept allows 60 days free holiday for the owners, the rest of the time, the rooms are managed by the resort.
Only 5 Suites are available for permanent residents. Income is shared in an unusual way: Owners receive 65% of all rental income, management 35% only. The 35% already include all utilities such as electricity, water etc. Rental income is not shared in a pool but shown in separate accounts, Suite by Suite. “We want an extremely transparent accounting system for the owners to get the maximum results for buyers”, Hajo says. One of the reasons might be that he is also planning to move into the new building. Buying into a 5-star property gives you the peace of mind you want, because service and perfect maintenance are no problem. Prices range from 10.5 M to 25.5 M Baht, fully furnished and ready for the rental scheme! Construction will start very soon and the management is already starting to plan the next project, The Mangosteen Pool Villas. “On a 13 Rai land plot right besides the resort, approx. 40 Pool Villas will further enhance the holiday experience and upgrade the value of your property.
We are eventually looking for an investor to accelerate this new project!”. Call Hajo directly on 01-5365846 or contact him by e-mail, email@example.com to get more detailed information.
