Patrice III was built in Australia by leading Australian boatbuilders. She was designed by Sparkman & Stevens, as an Admiral Cup Racer and is constructed of transverse aluminium alloy. At the height of Patrice III’s racing career, she won most of the ocean races in Australia and the Southwest Pacific, including division I Sydney to Hobart. Sydney to Noumea. Sydney to Suva, Blue Water Champion, and Cruising Yacht Club of Australia.

She has been leased three times, by syndicates for the Admiral Cup and has finished well each time. In 1979, the Admiral Cup was hit by a storm. Many of the boats were abandoned and, later were found adrift. Patrice III sailed and finished, proving her strength in heavy weather sailing, as well. Her last big race was in 1991.

Patrice III has now semi-retired as a professional racing machine though she is perfect for the many races in Asia. She has been remodelled and is a very fast, safe, and good - looking yacht, ready for charter and cruising.

She has a bigger engine, comfortable bunks, washroom and shower, a spacious cockpit, and plenty of space on deck. She is the perfect sailing yacht and what better waters to explore than the waters around, the Andaman sea. The clean water is perfect for snorkelling and diving. Visit uninhabited islands or see the rocks, caves, and hongs in the Plang Nga Bay area. In the Similan Islands, one the world’s best diving areas and a National Marine Park of Thailand, you will be amazed by the fish and coral, or make a longer trip to Malaysia or The Andaman Islands.
