Phuket Land Activities
Bungy Jumping, Rock Climbing, Go Kart...
To many people who have not visited Phuket, the island would seem to solely consist of beaches and jungle. Not so! There's a lot more to do here than lying on the beach and many activities are downright challenging.
Try a 50-metre bungy jump if you're feling brave; pit your driving skills against others on a go kart track; head off-road on an ATV or get fit and see the island at the same time on a mountain bike. Make the most of Phuket Land Activities.

Phuket ATV is the most well-established ATV Company in Thailand. Set in 350 acres of wild and fluctuating terrain containing rubber trees, mangroves, hillocks, beaches and jungle, the opportunities here for four-wheel adventure are seemingly limitless.
On arrival at the ATV camp we get fitted out with helmets and gloves then, after a safety briefing on the workings of an ATV, our tour guide leads us in figures of eight on a flat piece of ground while we accustom ourselves to the machines (I’m told to relax a little more and to use the footbrake instead of the handbrake). We learn to decelerate into the many gullies and to accelerate out of them. Read More...

If you need an adrenaline fix, look no further than bungy jumping. For those adventurous types who live for challenges, you can jump 50 metres over the green-blue water of the Jungle Lagoon at the Jungle Bungy Jump in Kathu.
Set over a picturesque pond, formerly an old tin mining site, but now a safe location for experiencing big-time thrills, the jump site is the only licensed one in Thailand and the only insured site in Asia. Look for Jungle Bungy Jump on the main road leading out of Patong to Phuket Town near the major intersection at Kathu.
There is one place in Phuket where you can hurl yourself from great heights and live to tell your friends about it, with the help of a bungee cord: Jungle Bungy Jump in Kathu District promises to give you "The best fun you can have with your pants on!" - a jump from 50m tower over water. Rock Climbing and Abseiling
Just a few hours away from Phuket are some of the most challenging and beautiful climbing sites in the world, attracting both novice and hard core climbers. Most of the action is on the towering limestone rocks in the headland between Tham Phra Nang (Phra Nang Cave Beach) and Railay East beach in Krabi. To get there, take the bus (about 2.5 hours from Phuket to Krabi Town, then a long-tail boat ride from either the pier at Krabi Town or from Ao Nang Beach), rent a car or arrange a tour that includes accommodation in Krabi.

The Chamber of Secrets in Phuket is the second real-life ‘room escape’ game to open in Thailand (after Escape Hunt in Bangkok). Growing in popularity across the world, room escape games offer players a fun way to escape reality and use their intelligence in a practical way.
The rules are simple: a group of four people are ‘locked’ in a room and have to find their way out by using various objects and clues in their environment. In less than one hour players have to successfully solve a certain number of puzzles opening a succession of rooms, until the final exit door opens and lets them free. Read More...

Tiger Muay Thai & Mixed Martial Arts Camp is serious stuff. This is not the sort of place visitors wander into for a few hours to learn a few moves, enjoy a workout and then wander out again. Tiger is the most dedicated Thai Boxing camp in the country and by extension, the world, and trainees arrive from all over the globe to learn from dedicated Muay Thai champions and mixed martial arts experts.
Mixed martial arts (MMA) is the fastest-growing sport in the world and Muay Thai the deadliest of its branches. With that in mind you’d expect a lot of stray testosterone flying around and grim, bashed-in faces at Tiger but not a bit of it. There’s a positive, warm, friendly but businesslike atmosphere to the place as people come here to attain a goal that’s not easy to achieve – a balance of supreme physical fitness and dizzying levels of fight talent. The three-in-a-day trip to Phang Nga Province combines elephant trekking, river rafting, and a waterfall excursion in green mountain forests, where there’s not a beach umbrella in sight. Beaches are fine but there’s a whole lot more to do in Phuket, Phang Nga and Krabi provinces.
The Phuket-to-Phang Nga trip is only 90 minutes, but the wise make use of a convenience store to stock up on munchies, water, and maybe a coffee for the road. But even without coffee the drive is a scenic, all-natural stimulant; you’re guaranteed to be wide awake on arrival.
And what an arrival it is. The minibus turns off the cliff-lined highway and makes its way down the narrow road, winding around green hills, over rivers, and past grazing cattle before finally arriving at base camp. Complimentary coffee, tea, soda and water are always available in the open air, riverside dining hall; lockers are provided so you can safely leave gear you don’t need before each activity.

Zorbing is a fun activity for the whole family. Opened in 2012 and located near Lim’s restaurant on the hills overlooking Kalim Beach, participants at Zorbing at Rollerball descend a 190m hill track (one of the longest tracks in the world!) inside a three-metre diameter flexible plastic ball.
Hill rolling (the official name of this activity) was invented in New Zealand by David and Andrew Akers. This recreational activity is known under several different names around the world – zorbing, globe-riding, sphereing, orbing – and its Phuket’s version enjoys superb views over Patong Bay as well as tons of exhilarating fun.
